Bamboo Rose Enters a New Era of
AI-Driven Decision Intelligence

A year after acquiring the French company Verteego, the U.S. retail-focused software provider Bamboo Rose has now fully integrated the AI engine developed by the French team into the heart of its TotalPLM platform, now renamed Decision Intelligence. Bamboo Rose’s value proposition for its retailer clients remains to speed up their product time-to-market with its end-to-end suite, covering everything from design and development to sourcing, procurement, logistics, and distribution.

The Decision Intelligence layer, now also the name of the French entity mainly composed of former Verteego team members, about 25 people, brings new AI-driven decision-making capabilities for forecasting, constraint-based optimization, automation, and simulation.

“In this very complex environment where demand is increasingly hard to predict, all retailers are looking to gain more reliability and performance, and traditional statistical models just aren’t enough anymore. There’s a strong need for these AI-driven agents that can simulate numerous scenarios to inform strategic decisions and automate parts of the process, from the supply chain teams up to the executive committee,” explained Clément Guillon, co-founder of Verteego.

There are many use cases for this AI: forecasting, assortment recommendations, promotion launches, automatic allocation planning, predicting product costs during development (with intelligent alternative suggestions), automatic product sheet generation, helping select the best suppliers, and so on.

Note that in the planning and procurement area, the functional elements of the TotalPLM suite come from the 2024 acquisition of the Canadian company Foresight Retail. The Decision Intelligence engine is now integrated there to provide its AI models.
